Snyder-Meyer, In Cahoots Again A collabrative exhibition of George Snyder and Daniel Meyer will be the first show at The Art Store for 2010. Snyder-Meyer In Cahoots Again will run through February 20. Multi –talented artists Meyer and Snyder have worked both alone and together in this selection of works. The duo is well known for their collaborative series of rainbow-hued post-pop sculptures and paintings.

Susan Petryszak's Solo Exhibition Opens March 6 Acclaimed West Virginia artist, Susan Petryszak, continues to explore her fascination with water in her upcoming solo exhibition entitled, Water and Light. The show opens at The Art Store, Saturday, March 6 with an artist talk at 5:30.  A reception to honor the artist will follow. In this collection of over 12 new paintings, Petryszak's expressive style concentrates on the luminous surface in nature's landscapes, waterscapes and botanical imagery. The show will continue through March 27.

Bill Fisher and  Ann Glover receive Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowships Two artists  represented by The Art Store have been awarded Virginia Museum of Fine Arts Fellowships in 2010.  Bill Fisher and Ann Glover both received professional painting fellowship awards. In total, fourteen professional artists won 2010 awards of $8000 each and six graduate students won 2010 awards worth $6,000 each. In the 70 years the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts has presented fellowships, the museum has awarded $4.2 million to 1,104 professional and student artists who are permanent residents of Virginia. The Juror for the professional fellowship awards was Laura Hoptman, the Kraus Family Senior Curator at the New Museum in New York City.
