Movin' On; 64, 77, 79 is Schaul's sixth solo exhibition at The Art Store. Although urban landscapes may differ from past exhibitions, her unique use of clear, bold color and energetic brushwork are evident in the 18 oil paintings and torn paper sculpture of "Bud and Sunny".
A practicing artist for more than 45 years, Schaul has continued to boldly trust and challenge her creative instincts, often looking backwards in order to go forward, while remaining steadfast in skillfully capturing the significance and beauty in everyday life.
Schaul has maintained an active exhibition schedule in West Virginia, Ohio, and Florida in solo, invitational and juried exhibitions. She is represented in the permanent collections of The Clay Center's Juliet Museum of Art, WV, the West Virginia State Museum, the University of Charleston, WV; and the Huntington Museum of Art, Huntington, WV; as well as many corporate and private collections. She is also Gallery Director Emeritus for The Art Store, where she served as Gallery Director for over twenty-five years.
